A BIT ABOUT US

Tejido textiles

Tejido meaning weave, texture, cloth. Pronounced 'tuh-hee-doh'

Tejido Textiles began the way the best things do: over a shared obsession. Lisa and Rachel — two friends connected by a deep love of textiles — found themselves drawn again and again to the same kinds of cloth. The kind with a history behind them. Patterns pulled from tribal ceremony and folk tradition, from imperfect handcraft and vintage markets, from the great weaving cultures that stretch from Java to the Andes to West Africa.

Lisa brings a background in fashion and interior decoration. Rachel has spent years working in the textile industry and is the founder of textile house Style Revolutionary, with a rare depth of knowledge about how good cloth is made. Together, they created the collection they couldn't find anywhere else.

Every Tejido fabric is designed in Brisbane and printed to order in Australia, using water-based pigment inks on natural linen and cotton-linen blends. No water is used in the printing process, no ink is wasted, and no fabric sits in a warehouse waiting to be sold. Each piece exists because someone chose it.

Tejido is distributed throughout Australia by Style Revolutionary, with showrooms in the USA and Canada. For samples, pricing, and orders, please get in touch.
